Genius Factor Academy’s K12 practice offers the premier 9th Grade-on-Track post-secondary readiness social emotional learning (SEL) and career exploration curriculum.  At Genius Factor Academy, all students are geniuses, and regardless of socioeconomic factors our goal is to bring innovation, equity, and opportunity to career connected curriculum across the country.  Based on author Torrance Hampton’s book, “Genius Factor: Make Your Passion Your Paycheck”, the curriculum layers (SEL) and career exploration, thus creating alignment with students’ talents, passions, “Genius” and career pathways for success in higher education, 21st century careers and life. The curriculum and e-learning platform is a Clever/Google (SSO) enabled SaaS/cloud-based learning management software and digital portfolio system, that allows educators to design personalized, interactive and collaborative learning environments, where students upload artifacts of their work, receive feedback, and build their Genius Factor Passion To Paycheck career pathways portfolios for the future.  The robust curriculum is typically activated during the advisory block (1x per week/45minutes) and includes 10 modules, 25 lessons, engaging students activities, S.M.A.R.T goals, learning objectives, essential questions, vocabulary, student learning targets, aim, do now, historical responsive literacy, culturally responsive teaching, formative and summative assessments.
